Random prettiness on my kitchen shelf
A drawing I did for Saskia
My House is FULL of Chrysanthemum's! What a dream!
The ladies who sell them on the streets outside their houses only have a 3 week permit from the council to do so. So on Sunday we went to buy some and they were so desperate to sell that one lady gave me 4 big bunches for $9!!! Eeeeeeiiii!! So happy.
I particularly like these yellow ones and how it picks up the yellow in my drawing and the lamp.
The lamp and art deco milk-glass kerosene lamps (which I have used as candle holders) are not mine to keep :-(
Zen bought them at Auction to sell on ebay but I get enjoy them in the meantime.
Another one of Zen's ebay items that I am temporarily enjoying

We had a Garage sale on the weekend so I sat outside and drew this girl from Rwanda in-between customers. This is gouache, watercolor pencils and charcoal on paper. To see more of my paintings and drawings click here.
We purchased this lovely artists proof etching 'Chanall Pierott' 3 years ago after the house we were renovating for Zen's parents sold. It is tiny and was expensive but we love it.
My cluttered dressing table.

You clever thing!
Thanks Lakota :)
Oh my word, I've just scrolled through your post and I'm in awe of your drawings. They are fabulous, especially the girl from Rwanda.
I never thought I liked chrysanthemums (can barely spell it!) but the way you've displayed them looks wonderful. I'll stop gushing now!
mmmm, dunno what the fabric you've used as throws is called - sorry, but love the way they look on your bed.
Glad I found your blog!
Thanks so much Loo! :)
Your gushing is flattering me so don't stop on my account! Ha ha
